Benevofy was conceived in the trenches of everyday associations. Our team leader, experienced in leading alumni group and actively involved in another welfare groups, saw firsthand the challenges these groups face.

One major hurdle was managing finances for numerous events. As an alumni association chairperson, the constant search for volunteer treasurers for each fundraiser made ensuring transparency and accountability a constant struggle. Similarly, another groups, despite having merchant codes for both MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Mobile Money collections, had to resort to using a member’s personal lines for M-Pesa transactions. Tracking these contributions is a cumbersome task, involving creation separate WhatsApp groups for each collection and manually entering data into spreadsheets – a system ripe for errors and inefficiency.

These everyday frustrations fueled the creation of Benevofy’s first solution, designed specifically for one of the welfare groups. But the vision soon expanded. We saw the potential to address these common challenges for all associations, and Benevofy, our robust platform, was born.
